It is some time since I wrote anything here. I have read quite a few books, but most of them did not inspire me to write anything. They have been interesting enough, but not something to lift them above the ordinary. By ordinary I mean a well written book with an interesting storyline and good characters - in short an enjoyable read.
I have read quite a few such books by Nora Roberts. The first book by per I read quite some time ago. That was Three Fates. I found it interesting and enjoyable. That is why when given a chance I read recently many more books by this author. They have all been good, but after a few of them I started feeling that I was reading the same book over and over. Sure, the characters, the settings, the storyline and sometimes even the centuries were different and yet the feeling persisted. The characterization of the main characters is very similar in all the novels. There is always some mystery or crime to be solved which gives an edge to these essentially romantic novels. This made the first book I read very good but by the last book I read I was a little bored. So I am having a long break from reading Norah Roberts' novels. However, I will read more when I feel like a light break. With many other books in between Norah Roberts' novels are really good read.
